Hi Gretchen. The late response to your post is some indioaticn of the answer to your question. We have had an up and down spring with a week of 90 degree temperatures followed by a week of cooler temps and 2 inches of rain followed by another week of 80+ degree temperatures followed by another week of 2 inches of rain. On the farm, the warm temperatures have not been particularly friendly to the already weak spring plants, i.e. broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, bok choy. But this weather, warm temperatures with plenty of water, have been ideal for summer crops like peppers, tomatoes, and melons. We have been planting like crazy to try and recoup some spring losses, and this weather is also great for seeding and planting. However, there is one other thing that grows well under these conditions, WEEDS! Better get that hoe sharp.
